Prostitution here in Philippines is illegal, although somewhat tolerated, with law enforcement being rare regards to sex workers. Penalties range up to life imprisonment for those involve in trafficking which is covered by the Anti-trafficking in person Act of 2003 but even though Philippines have this kind of law, prostitution still exist, even in BC era, prostitution is already existing because of poverty.
The risk of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases is high among persons who exchange sex for money. On my point of view, of course nobody wants to have HIV,STD or other diseases because it can fully change someone's lives in a miserable way.Education is the key to success because if someone failed to finish their studies it may cause them hard to find a nice and decent job that can lead them to enter the prostitution world.
